Basic Laboratory Testing

Naturopathic doctors also offer the basic laboratory testing you can obtain through your medical doctor.

Please note that OHIP does not cover testing recommended by naturopathic doctors. If your medical doctor agrees that there is a valid medical reason to do so, I do encourage that basic lab testing be done through your MD so that it will be covered under OHIP.

Live Layered Blood Cell Microscopy

A simple drop of blood from a client’s finger can provide a multitude of information such as how red and white blood cells behave, the presence of bacteria, yeast or parasites, nutrient imbalances, digestive red flags and more. A referral to a specific and skilled technician will be recommended if the case requires it.
